Made-up example data
The parties, the tract, the county and the recording information below are fictional. They are not taken from any real record, and any match to a real person or company is a coincidence. We show them so you can see the layout before you send a project.
The example tract
A township is a 6 by 6 grid of numbered sections. The shaded square is section 14. The example tract is the northeast quarter of that section, 160 acres, in a made-up township, range and meridian in a made-up county.
NE/4 of Sec. 14, T3N, R5W, Sample Meridian, Example County. 160 acres, more or less.

How to read it: Effective Date is the date on the instrument. Rec. Date is when the county recorded it. Conveyance says whether the instrument moves an interest from one party to another. Reservation says whether the grantor held something back, and the next column quotes the words. A client can ask for a different convention for leases or other instruments, and we set it before the work starts.
